The key to the superior performance of Thermomax evacuated tube systems lies in the vacuum integrity of the solar tubes. In the same way a “Thermos” flask uses a vacuum to prevent loss of heat from the hot liquid inside, the evacuated solar tubes trap radiant heat from the sun to generate hot water very efficiently.
